There are 26 endemic birds of Sri Lanka including suggested 3 species. Most of these birds are found in the low land and high lands in the wet zone. Kitulgala, Sinharaja Rain Forest, Horton Planes, Bellanwila and Muthurajawela are few major locations in the wet zone.
